Another Round Please

TGIF! What a week it has been. Last Friday my hubby and I went to an Irish Pub for some drinks and bar food. A local band was playing and we had a pretty nice night. We started off with just a drink each, a fancy one.....then as the night went on, you knew we were having a good time because we started drinking good old fashioned beer, which really, neither one of us is big on.

We messed around with our new phones (see pics) and were plain silly, just the two of us. "Just the two of us" is something that is quite sacred in our relationship. We don't get too much alone time. We were married a good 5 and a half years before we had our first son, Tyler, but I guess the 5 years weren't enough. I can never have too much time with him. I am not good at showing him that however :(. I always have something to do, the kids always have to be some where or do something else. John on the other hand is good at just making time.

He is a magician I tell you. He makes things fit where it just wasn't possible, the glass is always half full, he can make money where you thought there was nothing to gain, and can work magic with numbers, and not to mention with time. I think I picked the right man.
Anyway, after several more rounds it was time to go save the grandparents from their babysitting duties. Luckily the kids were asleep in no time and John and I were able to watch a movie. It was a great night. I hope to spend many more nights like that with my DH. After all his trouble to get me up and out I hope he thinks, well she isnt too bad herself.

This weekend we have other things to tend to, more like house keeping stuff, but even though there are some bridges we are crossing now (nothing terrible we are just budgeting and some other things we can blog about soon :)) I cant wait to buy my honey another round.

A Blog...Really?

I have always toyed with the idea of having my own blog since it has been all the rage for sometime now. For one reason or another I just never went through with it. Now here I am! I thought about joining a "moms" blog instead of this site but was informed that I was in need of some self discovery rather than some more self absorbancy with the kids. Everything really does revolve around them in my life. That's OK too, but it will be cool to write about whatever I am in the mood for in here. My own personal little notebook.

I am definately not a writer or a poet, but I am excited about having my own corner of the cyber world to do as I wish with. The thought of writing in my online notebook takes me back to the good old days of writing in my Hello Kitty diary equipped with its own lock and key. I would write in it when I was about 12 and then carefully lock it and place it under my bed. The key would then go in my back pack with me to school. Little did I know it was so easy to open anyway without that little key. Ahhh if we only knew then what we know now.

Maybe something will interest you in here at some point. In the mean time I hope this blog serves as one of the tools in my quest for self discovery.
